Drums, Percussion, Vocals

Alessio Barelli (Drums and Backing vocals) Session drummer and drum teacher, winner of ACM Drummer of the Year 2009. A pupil of Pete Riley (Rhythm magazine) and world-renowned Paul Elliot, Alessio is in regular demand as a session drummer for live acts and recording.

Alessio Started to play drums in 2004, and after being influenced by musicians such as Simon Phillips, in particular his solo record 'Another Lifetime,' He quickly realised his goal of becoming a professional musician. After finishing school Alessio is currently studying drums at the' Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guilford, where Nice Shoes formed.

Alessio is often to be found in the studio, recording for either his own projects, or sessioning for other musicians. He has worked hard to be as versatile as possible, whether it be Hip-Hop, Afro-Cuban, Funk, or Be-bop, Alessio Has studied them all.

Aside from Nice Shoes, Alessio, Ant, and Salva are currently recording a Jazz Fusion album, which will be released soon. Alessio has also been working on the musical score for the ballet 'Antichi' which opened in Rome and is currently touring around Europe.
